Many of our dealers also sell fine antiques. For some collectors they will only have antiques but most like the style of period pieces but don't want to deal with the downside such as the unstable nature or usability of a piece. We made this chest based on an antique in the store. We were able to increase the size as they desired and were able to match the mellow light red patina and the hardware of the original. As is often the case with reproduction furniture the customer got precisely what they wanted and even saved some money.
