Block front styles were made almost exclusively in eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This Boston chest has the added feature of hand carved Ball & Claw feet. This piece is a more than a great piece, it is a masterpiece! A period chest of this design with original finish would go at auction for mid six figures. We can't take credit for that but at least, unlike most furniture makers, we certainly know the difference.
